New Sidekick hits FCC with T-Mobile 3G
Occasionally, Sharp will pass a Japanese domestic market handset through the FCC for global roaming certification, but not this time. No, instead, we're seeing the PV300 -- and as any rabid Sidekick fan knows, Sharp's Sidekicks are referred to as "PV" followed by a three-digit number internally, so yeah, we're thinking this is probably the real deal. Of course, we've had no shortage of legit-sounding rumors in the past few months that there's a new high-end Sidekick on the way to T-Mobile shelves, and indeed, it should come as no surprise that this one is certified for AWS 3G -- the very kind T-Mobile uses -- along with the usual assortment of GSM / EDGE bands. Anyhow, see you shortly, dear Sidekick. Hopefully.

A 3G Sidekick before a smartphone!?????
My, my!
hey moron Sidekicks are smartphones.
I wouldn't want to be caught dead with a Sidekick in my hands.
Wow Mr.High and Mighty. You are Sooooo Much Better than the Average SideKick user, aren't you?
I guess God just put you on Earth to be Better than Everybody else didn't he?

To put it quite lightly, Sidekicks are the runts of Sharp's litter of phones. Want to see what they're really capable of? There's the 922SH if you want a clamshell and the SH-04A if you want a slider.
All this hate for the sidekick is unwarranted imo. It's a basic Smartphone (and I mean BASIC). I would totally go for a 3G Sidekick.
i like sidekicks, i just recently had a sidekick lx, but i got rid of it since to me its a bit too basic. I wanted something with a bit more powe, i went with the new Blackberry Curve 8900. really nice device.
