I started out with one of their free phones to try out their service and everywhere I went EVERY call was dropped at least once and data speeds were so slow I just gave up on using it. when I called their tech dept to see if there was anything they could do they told me to take the phone back and try another carrier....so I did and went back to verizon. I have a personal use phone and a work phone. My phone is with verizon and my work phone is through sprint. I've never had a call drop out on me and I get great data speeds everywhere I go.

I would try T-Mobile but at least they had the decency to tell me up front that the service wouldn't work where I lived.

Just for reference I work in washington DC...Supposedly one of ATT's best service area's...

bldgengineer

Comments on Apple orders 100 million 8Gb flash chips in ramp up for new device(s)?

don't get me wrong...if the iphone was one another service AND had some kind of expandable memory then I would buy it without hesitation. In fact, since the new firmware the quality and coverage have improved - not sure if its the software or AT&T is adding coverage. By the way, AT&T is pretty bad in Virginia from my experience, don't know what its like for everyone else. I am sad to admit but the radio on the iPhone now rivals my E71 in performance :(

I think this is and endless war between Verizon and ATT in the DC/Baltimore area. Several of my friends have switched to AT&T and have had no problems, so perhaps some of these issues are device related.

P.S.
