That's assuming the end product will have 850MHz enabled. The released FCC documents mentioned in last week's 'article' showed no evidence of an active 850MHz UMTS/3G radio on the device. Given the FCC would have to test the 850 band just as much as it would for 1700, since both are licensed for US usage, it seems unlikely the new Sidekick will end up with 850 3G turned on.
I hope I'm not right about this observation, because allowing 850MHz on this Sidekick could open 'hailing frequencies' for a 3G roaming agreement between T-Mobile and AT&T...
