You never really know what to expect when fishing for a new phone at Best Buy Mobile. Go in one week, and you'll see a strikingly
pink Instinct for a strikingly large amount; go in
next week, and you'll see the miniaturized version of the original Instinct for under 50 bones. If a new flyer is to be believed, the
Samsung Instinct S30 will be offered up for just $49.99 on contract at Best Buy, which is a whopping $80 less than what Sprint itself will supposedly ask for it
on April 19th. Too good to be true? We're hoping not.
[Thanks, Kenny]
yeah buddy if you were some stupid person who didnt know how much better verizon is, the instinct s30 would look like a great deal compared to the versa. just sayin.
But I wonder if it will be as buggy as the original instinct it? I bet it will! I love my phone.....when it's working as intended!
It won't be because they have had all the time to see what was wrong with the M800, tweak and update it to improve it over the life since its launch. I'm sure this one will work 80-90x's better than the M800.
Someone please teach me how verizon is so much better than sprint. I just don't get it. I just had verizon and am now on sprint, I can tell you I am not missing vzw and their charge extra for everything policy, o and the coverage with sprint is better, verizon doesn't have the most reliable network.
More expensive means better if you talk to any VZW fanboy. I will say they do have coverage in no-meto areas (they kill it in the Dokota's and Montana) but I am almost always on highways and/or metro area. Not to metion a little thing called roaming in case I'm in an area with no Sprint coverage I get VZW with out the BS.
This isn't really a Mini Instinct...I had the chance to check one out and it's actually just a little bit wider. It does have curved corners...which sort of makes it appear to be smaller i guess. It pretty much seemed just like the same old instinct to me. One down side...it doesn't come with all of the original accessories like the original. No extra battery or leather sleeve.
I hope this isn't it as far as the instinct goes. I've been waiting pretty patiently for the Dash to be announced. Does anybody know if this thing is still going to be released or am I waiting for a ghost?
These guys will have it cheaper than Best Buy : http://twitter.com/TheSprintShop...they have been doing the regular Instinct for 99 cents over the last year, and claim to be taking pre orders on the Pre...plus (without knowing the price of the Pre) they are taking 100 dollars off for new accounts. This is truly the Best Buy....
sorry... http://twitter.com/TheSprintShop
Just placed my order at www.deals.sprintshops.com for the S30 at $0.99 each. Had to order it with a data plan, but the price is still better than what I'm getting on ATT for data.
I could believe this, Best Buy (and other 3rd parties) have always had better deals than Sprint stores for *new* contracts. Renewals, not so much unfortunately.
Sam's Club Kiosks are also selling it for the same price, ALSO with a one time $40 Sprint Bill Credit....Sounds like a better buy to me at Sam's Club!!!!
The Sprint Shop is going to do it at 99 cents for new contracts, the twitter update says...
Im a Best Buy Mobile Sales Consultant we just got our inventory in stock of the s30. There is no hard street date on it so you can get them when the store receives them. They are 49.99 for new and 129.99 for upgrade. The bronze is HOT!!
Both Instincts are the same height. i'm guessing the whole .mini. thing might refer to the Opera Mini browser that's included with the phone. That and a built-in IM app along with Outlook Calendar support and an overall better feel to the phone are what sets this Instinct apart from its predecessor. It soft launched today in Sprint stores and comes in copper and silver (accents around the side and top borders). Here's hoping Samsung ironed out all the glitches the old one had (read faulty touchscreens)!
Hey genius Sprint requires the everything data plan for the old Instinct and the S30. I thought you were supposed to know everything...
I work at a Sam's Club RadioShack kiosk, and I can confirm what Brian Fradet said above me - we will also carry the Instinct S30 at the $49 price level, with a $40 bill credit for any Sprint customer who activates any phone on a new 2-year agreement with us.
does it cost 49 if i upgrade
Upgrades to the S30 will be $129.87 at my store.
sams club also has the s30 in bronze and graphite for $49.87 instantly with NO MAIL IN REBATE best part is that you don't have to be a sams club member to get a phone there just like their liquor. and they gave me a $40 bill credit on top of that. so it netted to only 10 bucks!!!
