Watch out if your on Sprint as well... I tried applying the Audio Fix with my stock Sprint Touch Diamond and was forced to hard reset... got stuck on the boot screen.
I think you need the sprint ROM upgrade first on HTC's site...I have HTC's latest sprint rom and the audio update worked perfectly for me.
