Telus gets 4.7.0.122 for BlackBerry Storm, too
Bell gets the gold star on its forehead for being the first CDMA carrier out of the gate with a newish build for the BlackBerry 9530, but Telus isn't far behind, releasing 4.7.0.122 -- the very same build Bell released, in fact. This leaves only Verizon with one of the worst cases of firmware lethargy we've seen in recent memory -- at a time when one of its hero devices needs as much love as it can get, no less -- so we're definitely taking some comfort in the information we're getting that build 141 is on track for May. Cross you fingers, folks.

Sorry for the off-topic, Chris, but may I ask why you haven't written anything about the N97's processor?
I have, I just haven't published it yet. Why do you ask?
Ah, that's good to hear. I wanted to hear your opinion on the issue.
Verizon aren't the only ones. There have been over a dozen firmware releases for the Bold in the past few months, some of which feature some great optimizations for the browser, antenna and battery life -- not to mention visual voicemail -- yet AT&T still hasn't pushed it out.
Umm.. maybe because the device is exclusive to verizon? I wonder if we can get a second look at this phone as far as a review once the new OS is pushed out.
dtzitz,
You should re-read his comment. He meant Verizon isn't the only carrier lagging in releasing software updates in general. That's why he mentioned the Bold.
Just downloaded and installed. So much better. Smoother, quicker and more refined -- much more like a BB should be. I would have much preferred that TELUS release the BB Storm until something like this revision was ready -- 4.7.0.76 left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth but everything seems to be fresher now. I was seriously ready to pop after I realized how buggy and unsophisticated my Storm was going to be until this update.
