Pre deets continue to trickle out; Office 2007 support in the mix
Still no word on pricing or a release date, but the kind chappie running Inside Sprint Now has posted up a little Pre FAQ to tide us over. If you're inclined to believe this information indeed comes from deep within Sprint customer service -- and we've no reason to not to -- you'll find some interesting factoids in the mix, including full support for Office 2007, ringback tones, and custom ringtones. There's also a promise of video recording support and wireless PictBridge printing sometime down the line. Great, great -- but we'd really rather learn all this stuff on our own after release, you know?

that settles it, if the pre does have these features than there is no doubt this is my next phone
Why oh Why on Sprint???!!! I need a GSM phone for traveling overseas but I want this phone so bad.
GSM version is very soon on its way to you.
GSM will not be far behind. They have been confirmed, its just a matter of time.

If this is true we should expect the GSM version in August.
At Mobile World Congress they announced the GSM version. I think they even said that it will be coming out around the same time. Seeing as we've heard nothing about which carrier will get it, I don't know how true that still is.
I really want a pre. But if they go too much longer without a release date or pricing info, I may just get an iPhone. PALM - GIVE ME SOME WORTH WHILE NEWS!!!
damn this thing just keeps getting better and better. just release the thing already or i'll end up overloading on new features before i even get the thing in my hands.
JUNE 7, 2009...$199.99.
@ Palm Pre
Where did you get that price and date from? Is there any credibility in your comment?
I don't care about the phone price. I have a pretty sweet little 4-line plan with Sprint, and I want to know how much more $$$ per month I will pay just to get some Pre action.
You MUST switch your plan to one of the Everything plans. For 2 lines its....$129 (1500 min), $169 (3000 min) $189 unlimited min.
The PRE will require one of sprints everything Data plans. For a family plan your looking at 1500 anytime minutes for $129.99 +$20/per line for lines 3 and 4. And for the 3000 minute plan your looking at $169.99 + $20/per line for lines 3 and 4. The great thing is that these plans still qualify for Sprint's NVP program so depending on where you work you most likely qualify for a discount!
