I'm willing to bet the Pre passed FCC testing ages ago. FCC testing seems to take about a month according to Google. According to Apple Insider the FCC released the iPhone's testing results on May 17th, 43 days before its June 29th release. But the testing seems to have been done in early February.
The FCC has to be hiding some especially juicy details at Palm's request.
I'm hoping the Pre is actually a 4G device, seeing as Sprint advertises its upcoming 4G network alongside the Pre.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
They need to get it approved by the FCC first, and soon!
