HTC Magic hands-on
Our pals from Engadget Spanish got a HTC Magic in their hands, and we have to admit it's quite a looker. The similarities to the G1 / Dream are obvious (besides the fact it doesn't have a physical keyboard, of course). On the downside, they found that inputting text while on portrait mode is a little complicated due to the size of the keys and the accelerometer seems to be a little slow -- besides those minor issues, though, the Magic has been well received in Spain. In any case, it's better to see these things on video, isn't it? Follow the break for the action.

Win?
I think this phone fails.
Anxiously awaiting the Bigfoot
What is bigfoot? Palm Pre = win though.
Bigfoot is the Samsung i7500, the next Android based phone.
The Samsung i7500 is a better choice by what i have seen by far. I am not really pleased with the performance the phone displays in the video, but there certainly is potential. I cant expect much from a mobile OS that's still in its infancy, my complaints about this phone are pretty much what everyone else complains about the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack, and as well as a camera with "NO" flash (whats up with that?), not to mention your forced to remove the battery to swap or remove the micro sd card. Overall i don't see any reason to purchase the phone I'll stick with the G1 for the meantime.
Definitely getting an i7500.
Flash? 8GB onboard? SD Card Slot? D-Pad? 3.5mm jack? GPS?
Yes to all please.
Yep, I'm also waiting for the i7500 to arrive before making a switch to Android.
you dont have to remove the battery to access the SD card just the battery cover.
i myself cant wait to see this phone in person im sure to pick one up ! Now Hurry tmo !
Loving that soundtrack. Without rolling out a tired out cliche it honestly does sound like a 70's porn film's background music.
