LG enV3 and enV Touch spotted once again, still not released
Okay, we see how it is -- this is one of those times when Verizon isn't going to have much of anything new to show by the time the official announcement comes around. We guess we're okay with that, although we imagine there are plenty of good folks out there who are dying to know exactly when that announcement will be; no new intel on that front, unfortunately, so these new pictures will have to do. Here we have the front of the maroon version of the VX9200 enV3, which -- surprise, surprise -- will succeed the enV2 (whenever Verizon finally decides to release it) with a 3 megapixel camera and QVGA internal display. The VX11000 enV Touch rests a little higher on the totem pole, replacing the Voyager with an alleged pair of wide VGA displays; interestingly, Verizon's MediaFLO-based VCAST TV service has gone missing, which leads us to question Verizon's commitment to the service. Subscription mobile TV hasn't been a stellar performer in any American or European market, and it's entirely possible that Verizon would consider letting its data network shoulder the video burden going forward -- especially as LTE comes to fruition. Anyhow, back to the matter at hand -- when are these things hitting retail?

Waiting on this to be released the Env2 was a pretty solid phone (pretty great battery life) and it looks like LG listened and upgraded most of the complaints from the Env2 such as the larger external screen, better camera, got rid of the "flaky" chrome trim and a little more sexy cosmetic shell (I for one liked the "calculator" look of the Env2) I'll definitely be picking this up.
There is a God. I hate most of the phones on the VZW network site right now. Not a big fan most of the phones. I was starting to wonder if LG had abandoned us.
I agree whole heartily! The LG enV Touch looks DAMN sexy! If it has a nice touchscreen with smooth animations, gestures, and functionality, I'm sold! It's either the enV Touch or I'm headed to the Palm Pre. And I can't get enough Palm Pre news!
Anyone have a ballpark figure when the new enV's will be released?
Sweet. I think I've found my new every 2 phone...now release them VZ!!! Or at least let us know when to expect them.
phonearena.com reports that they've had a tipster tell them the env3 will be released may 29th. it will have a html browser like on the current voyager too :D
these EnV phones have to be the UGLIEST phones i've seen.
Verizon seriously needs to step it up with their phones
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm upset there is no Vcast TV on the new Voyager. A month or so ago I started getting a great signal around my home and job. I use it a ton now. It came in very handy for the nhl playoff games on NBC. I just wish they had more channel choices.
I am really hoping the env touch will be a huge upgrade in terms of touch screen and menus over the voyager. I have had a voyager since it came out and really like it, but comparing it with most new touch screens, it seems slow and clumsy.
I think the Env3 is a huge improvement over Env2 as far as looks go. I signed up with Verizon in March and I got the Voyager. The touch screen was neat but other than that I hated the phone. You have to be in really good lighting to take a decent pic because the phone doesn't have a flash. Web browsing sucked and I didn't really use the VCast so I really can't comment on that. I did my 30 day exchange and got a Pink Blackberry Curve which I absolutely love. I hope that the EnV Touch will be 100x better than the Voyager.
