Thanks for actually answering the questions I had about the e52. I always love the show. When ya'll actually make the reference section for the site I will devour the info. Keep up the good work.
i only tuned in for nokia news
for the guy wanting to play the aac version of the podcast there is a way around the video playback on the iphone (at least there is on the ipod touch, i assume its the same on the iphone).
download it form itunes as normal, start the playback and press the hold button. this turns off the screen and stops the playback. if you then double press the menu button you get the play/pause forward backward interface thingy on the unlock screen. if you press play then it will just play the audio of the track and allow the screen to stay off. this works for me on the ipod touch so i assume it will work on the iphone as well.
If you want iTunes to download the mp3 version of the podcast, just add the mp3 version of the feed manually.
Assuming windows (I'm not familiar with the mac version of iTunes, but it's probably very similar):
Advanced -> "Subscribe to Podcast..."
enter in the mp3 feed url -> "http://podcasts.engadgetmobile.com/rss.xml" (no quotes).
Guys come on no podcast. ( shakes head) what are you doing
Great show!
I have a question regarding the Pre. I'm a college student, and within the next 6-8 months, I'll be able to break free from my parents' plan with Verizon. Sprint coverage here in San Diego is pretty spotty. Realistically, when would an unlocked GSM Pre surface? I know that Sprint must have some exclusivity deal with Palm, but would an unlocked device on another carrier be a feasible option?
