LG enV Touch set for June 5 Verizon debut
The enV3 not your style? That's fine -- maybe you want to step up to the VX11000 enV Touch, then, which should be launching just a few days after its lightweight sibling to replace the aging Voyager on June 5 for $219.99 on contract with a $70 rebate. The lack of VCAST TV is a bummer, but on the flipside, you've got a 3.2 megapixel autofocus cam, 3-inch external touchscreen with a matching 3-incher on the inside, HTML browsing, and the... uh, envy of every enV owner.[Thanks, anonymous tipster]

Who cares about Vcast TV? Most of us don't have access to it anyway.
i liked the original, except for the plasticy screen. i hope this one's an improvement.
This design has no merits. The flip design requires TWO screens when a slider needs only ONE screen. It only makes it thicker and more expensive. Lame.
does it have a 3.5 jack??? that was one of the biggest downfalls with my voyager. has all the things to be a great multipurpose entertainment device, but need an adapter just to use headphones...if this version goes with the 2.5 jack again it will be an EPIC FAIL...
Yes the enV Touch will have a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack. All in all, this is looking to be an excellent device. I have heard that the new touchscreen feels a lot like the iPhone's in the way it responds and the smooth scrolling. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
i have had my hands on it. its menu system is much improved over the voyager and the screen is 800x480. Its going to be better, but not anything special. Until LG decides to use capacitive technology for their touchscreens i wont pay them any attention.
yea it does.
I don't want one of these but it looks like June is going to be one big Phonegasm
Wow, June is big. The Pre(!), whatever apple comes out with, N97, this, the Alienware laptop that they're teasing, and I can't remember but wasn't the archos event going to be in June?
@clockworks2000 compared to the versa how is the screen of the Env Touch?
do NOT get LG Versa. well really, it seems alright. but the detachable qwerty seems odd. good for txting, but it would be a nuisance when making calls...
I have upgrade that I was going to use next week for the LG Dare. Should I wait for this?
yes wait for it , i am so picky with my phone , and have everything from a treo to the blackberry to the env and now i have the dare , love it and think it does everything i need to but sometime texting is easier with a full qwerty so yes wait especially if u r a male with bigger fingers , im going to get it as soon as it hits the shelves
i just got this phone on the 7th and its amazing... ik think its the best verizon phone other than the blackberry.... i would reccomend it to everyone.. the camera is awesome and so is the screen... good graphics...
One think that it is important to point out is that ALL of the new LG VZW phones have a major flaw. You can't add words to the T9 dictionary permanently. LG has refused comment on this issue on their own forums. In addition this ' bug ' was introduced in 2008 for the chocolate 2 v4 firmware. VZW made LG aware of this in December 2008, and a fix came out that was never released to the public.
LG has had this great feature on their phones for years and the public enjoyed it, and then they come around and CRIPPLE it, and refusing comment on it.
Everyone should research these phones ( Howard Forums ) before getting anyone of these phones since there are a lot of issues ( took mine back )
I wonder why they don't use the voyager name anymore?
