Probably so you can continue to talk while its in the holster.. My guess is that they didn't do that on the Bold so that you can put it to sleep once its in.
I think its an awesome and about time kind of holster if you ask me. only took about 5 times as long to come out as it should have. other then that i give it 2 thumbs up.

I'd love to know why they decided to make the version for the Blackberry "screen in" but chose to make the one for the iPhone 3G "screen out".
Who in their right mind would carry their iphone on their hip, in a holster, with the screen facing out completely unprotected?
