HTC Touch Pro2 hits virtual shelves, unlocked and ready for action
Luckily we've got solid word of HTC's Touch Pro2 headed for all of the majors Stateside, or this would come as a bit more of a blow for the hopelessly selfish Windows Mobile users among us: HTC's QWERTY slider flagship is now available online and unlocked, though its Euro-centric nature means there's no 3G for folks who'd like to use it in the wilds of the United States of America. Still, there's plenty of greatness here outside the HSPA data, and the $800-ish pricetag doesn't seem too unreasonable for what you get. And hey, maybe you live in Europe -- we're not ones to judge.

Any more news about when this is being released on T-Mobile USA (perhaps earlier than that expected July 22nd date)? They took the Wing off a few weeks ago but still no update on this dropping on the 1700~ can't wait...
Remind me again what makes this phone worth $800? Okay, maybe I'm trying to justify my purchase of a Touch Pro that should arrive in a few days, but $800...whew...
Follow the links....it's 10 pounds more than the touch HD and 30 pounds more than the original Touch Pro on the linked site.
So yeah, if you paid for it to be shipped over, including the VAT, you're getting hosed, but it will probably be much less unlocked when it's for sale in the rest of the EU or in the US.
Personally I am waiting for any announcements at E3 before i make a decision on my new phone.
E3..? So you're hoping Nintendo will announce the new Wii Phone?
Same here, a month ago I was set on buying this phone, but now I'm not so sure.
Only $800 for a phone!!! I'll take three.
"Euro-centric nature" more like rest-of-world.
I live in Europe(Belarus)and i have no 3g in my country.i was looking forward touch pro2 cause it seemed better than n97 which is very bad hardware for a great price.but there are only 3,2 mpx and only 528 mhz processor.its no good
