LG's been
getting cozy with Microsoft lately on the Windows Mobile front, and it looks like one of the most significant fruits of that labor to date might find a home on AT&T -- eventually. This brassy little number is the LG "Monaco," which is apparently also known as the "Pico" to some folks; what it'll eventually be called at retail is anyone's guess, but the big news is the feature list: 3.6Mbps HSDPA, a 3.2-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel AF cam, microSD expansion, an add-on pico projector of some sort, and
Windows Mobile 7. Though the screen is 0.3 inches smaller diagonally than the alleged minimum specified by
Microsoft's "Chassis 1" guidelines, everything else here would work (and look) great as a next-gen device -- and the accessory projector's a pretty nifty selling point, too. At one point, AT&T had a crazy idea that they'd have this puppy on shelves by September of this year, but seeing we'll be lucky to have 6.5 devices in our hands by then, this date has undoubtedly slipped since the slide was made. And yes, we'll admit -- we're intrigued by the gold accents. Is that so wrong? Follow the break for a better view of the phone.
The accuracy of these slides is always highly suspect. A previous slide showed said the Touch Diamond 2 had a 3 megapixel camera, and another showed what seemed to be a prototype build of the Touch Pro 2.
i think there are a couple of thing to correct on the one pager at least as:
. Qualcomm Snapdragon/ QSD8650 support CDMA together with GSM &WCDMA; the former of which must not be the one AT&T would like to stick to.
. It's already at the end of May 2009; when we don't see any proof of Windows Mobile 7 as i believe.

i hope lg didnt really ruin this phone by giving it windows mobile, otherwise this would have been a great texting phone
Man it seems you truely have no idea of what WinMo 7 will be :-P
It Rocks, trust me. You see that in 2010, which isn't that far !!
Btw this phone looks sweet, even if i agree with MS, 3,2 is too small. 3,8 like on the Touch HD is GREAT.
Windows mobile 7 has not been officially announced yet, but I am sure with this being a major release that we will see a lot of new technology and innovation. This is an exciting time for windows mobile!
Having recently loaded a cooked ROM w/ WinMo 6.5 on my LG Incite (CT810), I can say that 6.5 is a huge step up in usability and finger-friendliness. It's a pre-release build, so the slight sluggishness is understandable. Given the huge leap in user experience from 6.1 (usable) to 6.5 (good), I'm hoping that WinMo 7 will be the XP or Win7 of mobile experiences. Stable, secure, and user friendly.
