Nokia Ovi Store now live everywhere
We've just gotten word that Nokia has officially flipped the switch on the Ovi Store everywhere, which means you lucky Aussies, Irish, and Singaporeans just lost your coveted exclusivity. Nokia recommends that you hit up store.ovi.com from your phone's browser to start pumping thousands of euros into Espoo's (and, of course, developers') pockets, so get to it, won't you? Seriously, the economy isn't going to stimulate itself.

I'm not buying apps for Nokia. I got an iPhone and I love it .... Apple's so advanced
I assume you typed that "q" in your name by accident...typical Fanboi
how do you define everywhere? it's still not available in the middle east
Working just fine in Israel... No ovi maps for Israel though :(
Why am I not excited?
Maybe because you're too used to the too simple "dial mom" or "dial dad" iPhone applications? :)
hahahh do u seriously call this an app store??
slow and crap!
Engadget needs to change this article's headline. Ovi definitely isn't available everywhere. In the US AT&T won't make it available until later this year.
Actually, you're wrong, I have the 5800. I'm in Los Angeles on ATT and the store app popped up in my downloads section last night. Runs flawlessly too.
The 5800 is unlocked and unbranded. maybe that's why you can get it. I have no doubt that AT&T could be trying to block branded Nokia phones, they often like you to go through their crappy store. GRRRR!!
Although I certainly hope that's not the case.
Pre-ordered my N97 from amazon. But I am hoping this store really steps its game up because it is severely lacking in content right now. I understand it is day one but cmon. And for those Apple fanboys that always have convenient amnesia ... that forget about the mobile me debacle and the people that could not activate their iphones for up to a day after waiting hours in line. Shit happens to oh so "perfect" apple too.
You're absolutely right. After seeing all the criticism of the Ovi store I decided to look at the engadget post for the day the App store went live and it was the same complaints: Slow, buggy, and not enough apps. As for the amount of apps in Ovi, Nokia is gradually rolling out more apps everyday. Everytime I've opened the app on my 5800 I discover new ones.
