this is kind of pointless because the touch pro 2 is coming out soon they should be working on firmwares and updates for that so they wont have to come out with a new device every year.
HTC's business model basically depends on them coming out with new devices every year, so I doubt they're going to stop doing that no matter how good the firmware is.
Not releasing firmware updates for previous models would be business suicide. No customer in their right mind would by any device knowing that the manufacturer will not support the device once the new model comes out.
