News flash: Verizon redirect calls out the BlackBerry Tour
We're not sure whether this has any bearing on a release date, but we can say with some certainty (as if we didn't have enough proof already) that a seemingly innocent redirect set up on Verizon's site confirms the name "Tour" for the BlackBerry 9630. Browsing over to vzw.com/tour moves you over to another site, estore.vzwshop.com/bbtour, which is where you'd presumably go to buy a Tour of your own were they available. Sadly, the link's dead -- but we're still happy to know that the carrier's hard at work setting up the internal plumbing for this thing to be sold.

Blackberries, stale OS, horrible web browser and crappy memory and intuitiveness hmmmmm why would I want one?
You clearly wouldn't. Stick to whatever other crap you actually like, and let the rest of us enjoy the BlackBerry.
Alternatively, there are some of us that don't defend a certain phone like it's our child. Certain phones are fitting for certain people, that's why there is more than one type of phone out there. And MasterMason, maybe you haven't used a BlackBerry in the past 5 years... The Bold and new Curve have plenty of memory, awesome high-res screens, and some of the best keyboards on smartphones. And their web browsers have some of the best rendering on mobile devices now.
Best news I've heard in a while! Hopefully this product lives up to the hype...unlike that one other Verizon/BlackBerry product...*cough*
the storm blows........
Thats right, I said it.........
Agreed. I had it, but exchanged it after about 3 days for an Omnia.
Here's to hoping Verizon doesn't jack up this phone like it did the Storm and Touch Pro.

Get a grip idiot!! I have had more BB than you know what to do with and you can spout your blind obsession with BB all you want. Maybe when the get an OS that doesn't suck and a browser that maybe is better than some dumbphones out there you can talk. Wait the BB crashes al the time, repowers itself or freezes man it's an awesome phone. You know how you can enjoy your blackberry lube it up! I will stick with superior phones with superior OS and better useability, from a network that doesnt cripple crap and charge you for GPS, Visual Voice Mail etc etc
Lol...obviously an iPhone user on America's worst network. Less Bars in More Places. Have fun with that.
The BlackBerry is the best-selling smartphone in the world, and the vast majority of us enjoy the experience just fine without any of the problems you mention. We even prefer it to the inferior call quality and push email capabilities of the iPhone. Given the fact that you seemingly can't write an even halfway intelligent-sounding critique without using meaningless hyperbole like "sucks", I'm going to assume "user malfunction" in your case.
come out already!!! need to upgrade my voyager!
come on verizon!
release that phone already.. att has had this for months now. gee whiz get with the program. get the iphone already!!
AT&T has the Bold, not the Tour. Similar, though.
Will Sprint get this?
The divested Alltel markets will be getting this phone in August!
WOW you guys know your just discussing a phone right?
Blackberries, stale OS, horrible web browser and crappy memory
WOW the rest of my post didnt post. TO date I have had a Perl for over a year and its been very mediocre. Black Berry allows web access but does not support flash, does not support many video formats in short the phone is very limited.
