If you look at the big long runon sentance right before that it says: "Specs for the Omnia II are just a little different than what we previously heard: 3.7-inch AMOLED resistive touchscreen with WVGA (480 x 800) resolution, EVDO Rev A, 5 megapixel camera, 720 x 480 at 30fps video recording, 2GB to 16GB internal storage with microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, AGPS, and TouchWiz 2.0 UI." The confirmation on Verizon service isn't spelled out, but the specs for the Omnia II say EVDO Rev A!

Kabbo

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

Kabbo, the Samsung m850 Dash (Instinct 2) info leaked in march as on Sprint's roadmap for Q3 2009 is listed as EVDO Rev A as well.

leaked specs
http://news.softpedia.com/newsImage/Sprint-039-s-Roadmap-for-2009-Leaked-10.jpg/

new leaked look
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/05/26/samsung-m850-dash-shows-up-on-accessory-makers-site/

People shouldn't be reporting info unless its fact or at least specify which info is speculation.

rank

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

here we go, this article says here the info comes from, Samsung themself.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10264584-1.html

rank

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

The phone looks good and it has good features, but I hate windows mobile. How about because I shouldn't have to with today's phones. My E71 goes 3 days with constant email updates and usage of the web and google maps, not to mention phone calls. I never have to worry about it making it 2 days, even with a really heavy load. My N95 however if I happened to forget to charge it every night would end up dead by 11AM the next day. That's why at least 2 days means something to me. I'm sick of having to worry about charging it every night. I shouldn't have to bring a charger everywhere I go, especially with a newer phone. I expect them to last. Is that too much to ask for?

Douglas

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

And why the hell can you demand phones to have batteries that can last even more time?!?!

They have the technology, but we all now that they don't want to give to us...

Onesolo

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

how can you say that its going to have a wm6.5 upgrade??? i dont see a hardware windows button...

m.carroll

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

perhaps the windows hardware button is on the side...no one said it had it be on the front...has anyone seen the side of it yet?

tshow

Comments on Samsung Omnia II now official: AMOLED touchscreen with TouchWiz 2.0 destined for Verizon

Damn...I just don't see the point...why put an F'ing Wifi into a phone that is for a company who is going to FORCE you into getting a data plan?
