How many blackberries have you used? What they do good, they do better than most...and every blackberry improves upon it's predecessor. And since it's been close to two years since VZW has gotten an update (storm doesn't count), I'd say this bad boy is right on time.
I'm a user, and a fan, of Blackberries. I'm sure the Tour will be a great one. However, it is still just a Blackberry. There's nothing revolutionary going on here, feature-wise. So, I can kind of see the point.
If you check the BB site there is not much difference between this the Bold and the Curve and the only difference from the Storm is that it's not a touch screen...
This phone seems more about what it brings to Verizon Wireless versus what it brings to the overall smartphone ecosystem- yes, the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 exist, but VZW types have been out of luck.

The CDMA Curve has only been out for a year.
