Nokia N86 8MP and N97 launching in UK today
Most of us have our sights squarely fixed on the iPhone 3G S launch today, but in the UK, there are a couple of other heavyweights that are finally hitting retail: the N86 8MP and the N97. All About Symbian is covering the launch live, though it looks like there isn't much chaos and bedlam outside the Regent Street store -- maybe it has something to do with that other flagship store reflected in the window?

Maybe the N97 mini that they were referring to was the actual N97 cuz that big one on display sure makes the real one look mini LOL O_o?
I don't see too much chaos in front of the flag ship store on the other side of the street either!!!
Seriously. Ziegler is an idiot fanboy
Guilty as charged. My overwhelming irrational love for Apple permeates everything I write, every podcast I record.
Rest assured, I'm actively disgusted with myself for using this Google Ion and N97 as my primary devices.
true enough. i'm suppose i'm just frustrated with the 'righteousness' syndrome all my iphone-happy friends seem to have developed today. it's actually awesome to hear you're rocking an Ion and N97. keep it up chris.
Looks like the Apple Store on Regent Street a few posts below this one.....
Chris Ziegler, you need to talk more with Thomas Ricker. Because it seems like one of you two doesn't know what the other one writes, even though you both post on the same site.
I'm famous lol! That's me in the black on the right tweeting on my 5800. Was a brilliant day, us bloggers were treated with a lot of respect by Nokia, nothing by Apple. All of us have some great content to share.
Really?
Yeh, they used the photo again recently. It's quite a bad photo!
I saw that sign when I connected through Heathrow today
Im already on N97 #2, the US version of this phone has been plagued with problems. Random constant rebooting, faulty backlight, automatic hands free bricking... bad bad stuff.
Sad. I was really hoping Nokia would pull off a great phone with the N97.
There is no need to Queue at the Nokia store, so why bother. It took 5 mins to buy the handset at lunch time (it took somewhat longer to buy the iPhone). Pretty efficient service, but then it's fast when there's no carrier involved.
Great phone by the way five stars, quite different from the iPhone but just as good in its own right.
