HTC Ozone comes to Verizon June 29 for under $50
Is it cooler than Sprint's Snap? That's for you to judge, but whatever the case, Verizon has now announced its own version of HTC's latest WinMo Standard handset. The so-called Ozone features WiFi, global roaming capability, VZ Navigator and visual voicemail support, a QWERTY keyboard (which feels great if it's anything like its cousin's), and a beefy 1500mAh battery that we're betting will keep this thing going all day and then some. The best part, though, might be the price: it'll be just $49.99 on contract after rebate when it launches online on June 29 and in stores on July 13.

So wait, you can get the global HTC Ozone for $100 less than Sprint's non-global Snap? What's the catch? Other than that, I'm pretty sure specs are identical. Maybe Sprint's pricing it so they don't pull anyone away from the Pre? It's apples to oranges, but some people don't care.
Either way, save a $100 bucks on this phone, and get a better network. Sure, you can save on your monthly bill with Sprint, but at least I can make calls. Sprint is useless in my area.
Actually the Sprint Snap doesn't have wifi either......Verizon's got the much better phone and at a better price
Too bad that the Sprint version is pathetic.
Sprint works very well in my office and house, and I am on the old Sprint Sero plan ($30/month which includes unlimited data and text).
I guess I will just have to use another phone (Nokia E63) for my international travels.
Cant wait to get it.
Finally a smart phone that i would pay the data fee for (then cut it off the next month).
You can get rid of the data plan after paying for the first month?
you cant get rid of the data plan...
i got rid of my blackberry pearls data plan with verizon
so what makes you think i cant get rid of this one?
I call BS.
wait this 1 has wi-fi!?!?! is it better than the blackberry tour coming out god nows when? would any1 reccoment this over that?
I have never heard of getting rid of the data plan, I highly doubt Verz. will let you get rid of it !!!! unless U want to share how to do it ????????????
Wait... so will Verizon force you to use/pay for its the data plan? Or can you just buy the phone and use its Wi-Fi for free internet? Is there (or will there be) any Verizon phone that allows you to do this??
Its my understanding that you are required to bolt on a data feature (plan) to your voice plan on all advanced devices (smartphone). I believe that their billing is set up to not allow a smatphone on the network without the plan bolted on.
