BlackBerry Tour hitting Verizon on July 12 for $199.99?
You know what'd sell like a cold glass of water in hell? A $199.99 BlackBerry Tour on Verizon, that's what -- and it looks like that might be what the carrier's planning to unleash. Boy Genius Report has what seems to be a promotional graphic advertising the release of the Tour on July 12 -- just over two weeks from today -- which has the potential to make it the first Tour release anywhere, beating Telus' July 15 date and Sprint's nebulous "later this summer" window. Who's camping out in line with us?

I'll be gone for that weekend and will be swinging by the VZ store when I get home on Sunday. I've been waiting forever for this thing. The page is from Verizon's testman site where they prep updates to the site. It is supposed to go live (including pre-orders) on Tuesday
(and I was just about to tip this...you guys beat me)
Why do people really buy phones this old and ugly!! Why???? Time to through out this design and move on!!
this is why http://crackberry.com/so-bold-and-iphone-3gs-and-pre-all-walked-bar
the bold could be substituted with pretty much any current blackberry, including the tour
I assume u've never used a blackberry before. IMO a phone with a keyboard owns any touch screen phone. Sure, each phone has its pros and cons but a keyboard is they key for texting/email
Some of us actually use our phones to conduct BIDNESS! A good keyboard makes all the difference -- which is why I passed on the iPhones and the tiny keyboard on the Pre.
So far, nobody makes a better key board (thumboard?) than BB, however Nokia is catching up.
Hold on here...Verizon? First with a Phone?? Reasonably priced???
Quick, someone tell me how much they've gimped it before I have to go check the temperature in hell...
Well since the last BBerry they launched wasn't gimped, I highly doubt this one will be. I'd expect it to be no more or less gimped than the Sprint version.
I don't believe this for a second, and there is one reason why: The picture of the BlackBerry isn't the normal Verizon branded BlackBerry image that they've always used for every phone they have. (Seen on http://www.verizonwireless.com/tour) but I've been wrong before.
I literally do not understand why anyone would buy this over the HTC Ozone. I mean, you're paying 400% more for an 8% larger screen (which also makes the device larger and almost 25% heavier), better camera, smaller battery, and a totally locked down operating system. Other than that, specs are identical. Same processor, same ROM capacity, same RAM, both are CDMA/GSM, both have GPS, and they're the same form factor.
I guess if a 1MP bump in camera resolution and a flash is worth $150 more, it makes sense, but otherwise it doesn't.
No camping out people! Please. don't need a repeat of last years storm drama. I've already seen 3 stop by the store (corporate showing off) and yeah, its good. but not worth missing working and standing out in the heat/rain for. c'mon kids.
