Sprint takes a bite out of the Apple, touts innovative Pre features like 'multitasking'
From the look of it, our BFF Roger McNamee stole himself a copy of Adobe InDesign and has gone wild in Sprint's ad department, calling out the iPhone for its unitasking nature and spendy contract price. All we have to say is that if this is really going to turn into this generation's Sega vs. Nintendo war, we'd better see a whole lot more licensed Joe Montana titles.

Ooh...Sega vs Nintendo....the song is going thru my head....***Genesis does, what ninten-don't****
where did all the other post go???
Multitask??? I can multitask with my iphone what the hell are they talking about?? Yea there's one thing Sprint's palm pre can't do offer a 32GB model shit they don't even 't even have a 16GB lol. What's next no video recording ,can't travel over seas intill a gsm model comes out, no color option, limited wifi, app store??? the lists goes on and on. As for carriers goes ok they offer better plans no question that's has do with all of the corp pricks that decide the rate plans that's not apple fault. As a phone iphone is leagues away in technology palm pre just got in the market they got alot rev to catch up to do.
The iPhone has plans specific to it, of which Apple receives a cut. So how are the more expensive rate plans not (at least partially) Apple's fault?
Sorry guys had to repost lol. my typing sucks!!

I have an iPhone, and I'm sorry you're an idiot. You're going on about a 32GB model of the iPhone after 3 years that's lest them a couple weeks old? And even with your phone jailbroken using backgrounder the multitasking compared to the Pre is a joke. No color option? lol, white and black is SERIOUS business for color options!
Yeah the Pre just got to the market, and it takes the 3rd revision 3GS to beat it. Stop being an idiot fanboy and admit Palm did an exceptional job with this phone.
Well at least it isn't false advertisement.
I think this ad would work more in Sprint and Palm's favor if there was no mention of the iPhone. It just reinforces that the Pre is trying to do what iPhone has already done/is doing. The picture of the apple core is subtle enough.
Calling out Apple? I love it. As an iPhone user this is just going to make it even better down the road.
Really? You have a multitasking iphone? Must be one of a kind. Try streaming Pandora while opening your contacts, than post your results.
If u really need to listen to music while openig your contacts lol you can use the iPod function
What is it the iPhone-hating choir always says? ...
.. Oh yeah! ... A nice phone on a shitty network.
Welcome to the club, PreBoys! LoL
joel p.... All u have to do is jail break your phone then u can have apps running in the background... i have done it for years so um dont say it cant be done... Apple chooses not to
Too bad Sprint is probably the most ghetto wireless service out there.
Ghetto? Think Virgin Mobile, TracFone, and Boost which is sprint but not the same more nextel.
which one is sega and which one is nintendo?
I have the Pre. It was cool at first, but now the phone gets really hot. Its sluggish. Sprint sucks.I am a heavy phone and data user and I dropped 20 calls 2 days ago and I live in Vegas. prob another 15-20 calls today as well. I am returning it tomorrow and going iphone 3gs. I used a unlocked version for the last year. I wouldn't recomend the Pre because of the network. The multi-tasking aspect is really cool and useful.
Palm won't be able to trick me with their campaign, my first phone was with Sprint and I had nothing but bad experiences with them and their customer service. I love my iPhone and the app store that is probably the biggest selling point for the phone. Instead of buying a Japanese electronic dictionary for my Japanese class I can just download a Japanese language app, what other phone lets you do that?
ummmm pretty much any windows mobile phone for the past lets see 4 or 5 years
