Sprint matches Verizon's pace, launching BlackBerry Tour on July 12
So much for exclusivity, eh? Sprint is staying toe-to-toe with Verizon in the race to get the BlackBerry Tour to market, launching the consensus hottest RIM device to date on July 12 for $199.99 on contract after rebates. It's awfully refreshing to see an ominous statement like "later this summer" morph into "early summer" instead of slipping into the "dead of winter" as is all too often the case with hotly-anticipated phones, and we have a sneaking suspicion the Tour's gonna sell like a remastered Bonnie Tyler live album (that's a good thing, by the way). Who's in?

1st! I can't wait for this phone.
Which means I'll have to wait even longer for the touch pro 2
Please note...this is through Telesales and Online only.
They will NOT be in stores on 7/12.
idk where you get your info chief, maybe it wont be in best buy or radio shack, but SPRINT stores will have it
Sprint's twitter says this: 7/12 availability = only through sprint.com & telesales, not any stores yet. Store availability 2 B announced @ a later date.
Cant wait for this to come out. Getting the Palm Pro today and if I dont like it then I might have to switch to the Tour for only 35 extra bucks.
Too bad Sprint is a ghetto service provider.
Sprint is REALLY stepping up their A-Game.
Sprint service is great. I get 2.5mbps data through my Pre in NYC. Not bad.
Anyway, what is the price without the discounts on this Tour???
Great have the pre already, going to get this and then just waiting on the Touch Pro 2
I love when users that do not have a clue (NERDHERDER) make comments like they do. Been a customer of Sprint for over 9 years and i have great coverage in NYC. No complaints from me.
none here in the 'ghetto' of upstate ny either...
The tour will be available 7/12 at sprint.com and through telesales and it will be available august 2nd in stores... i work at sprint corporate store and thats what our playbook says that just got launched today
The Wifi enabled Tour will be released just in time for my Contract renewal, awesome!
And is Sprint trying to claim that it was Blackberry this whole time being the ones who held out on wifi?
