Even so, if it does come to the US, T-Mo will probably delay it so much that another, better phone will be out (like how Hero is out and they just released the MyTouch/Ion). Google looked like they were behind a sensible naming policy with the G1 (which, in my mind, implied a G2 then a G3 etc - easy!) But then that got confused. Then the model names "Dream", "Magic" and "Hero" - easy, slightly cheesy and clear. The carriers then go and obfusicate them and wonder why people get confused.

The winning element of the iPhone was its clear brand that everyone recognised, even if the successors.
