What the hell was Nokia thinking designing this? I thought they were done making goofy looking phones in the 90's. What an embarassment. There's no reason why anybody wouldn't choose an Impression or a Zenon over this even if it is a smartphone. I was hoping that this wouldnt be a smartphone. It's ugly and funky enough that no business man would use this... it's designed for a younger crowd, with all the "social networking" aspects, so I dont think it's going to sell well with a $30/month data plan... if a 20something can afford that, then they probably already have 2-3 iphones.

Now if they ditched the data plan and just had it as a s60 feature phone like the 6650, then I bet it would sell well. I might still just get it under my son's account, and then use it with my sim and the cheaper family data plans :)

rekkid

Comments on Nokia's Surge official on AT&T, ships July 19 for $79.99

from the press release:

"Designed in the U.S.[...]" said David Petts, etc

it figures, lol.

Fernando

Comments on Nokia's Surge official on AT&T, ships July 19 for $79.99

They should fire everybody involved at their California design studio.

Douglas

Comments on Nokia's Surge official on AT&T, ships July 19 for $79.99

you can totally tell

it doesnt look anything like a "real" nokia

i actually kinda like it. im gonna check it out on launch day.

but i still think its ridiculous to have a USA design team.

i think we almost all will agree... ...can we just get the real f'n nokia phones from nokia proper?!

youngcalihottie

Comments on Nokia's Surge official on AT&T, ships July 19 for $79.99

i'll take it for free.. the 6650 is free nowadays.

Ed

Comments on Nokia's Surge official on AT&T, ships July 19 for $79.99

most def

bozonpjs
