I've debranded it off the Rogers firmware because the limitations. But be warned, the battery-life on this phone is quite horrible if you're stuck on 3G frequencies (must charge daily). I usually dabble in texting, a little bit of browsing, maybe take some pictures or even browse photos, and my battery is quite drained by the end of the day. If you debrand and switch to GSM frequencies only, then the battery will last about 2 days of normal usage.......... that's bad.

But other than that, it's a great phone with an awesome camera.

You may want to do a bit of tweaking and install some modded camera drivers after you've debranded it though.

Whether I'd suggest you getting two of them.... well.... I'm gonna be picking up a Nokia E55-NAM when they're available, if that's of any indication.

Jeebus

Comments on Sony Ericsson hand delivers 8.1MP C905a and W518a Walkman to AT&T

Read that the pictures aren't that great on the cybershot phone, was somewhat looking at it till I saw more samples of the pictures to verify this. I would recommend debranding at one's earliest convenience, which is par for the course with US carriers, but I'll probably be picking up this phone.

taosaur
