How about a nice little touchscreen LG, Bell customers?
MobileSyrup says this little guy -- whatever it is, exactly -- is the "Bliss," ripe for launch on Canada's Bell on August 7 with a 2 megapixel cam, video capture, and microSD expansion for CAD $79.95 (about $72). The site speculates that it could be a localized version of the
Versa -- which, if true, would mean that you were looking at some nifty modular add-on accessory crap to go along with it -- but it could just as easily be any other of the one bajillion full touch LGs in the market today. August is coming up mighty quick now, so we'll know soon enough.
looks like an lg Xenon
So Far everywhere I have looked online the LG Bliss has received horrible reviews. I beleive these reviews are negative in nature based on Bell's Decision to nickel and dime their customers to death with this phones(LG BLISS) options. Besides hitting the call and end call button, every other application and program on the LG Bliss costs big money to use. They advertise these as the phones options, however its only the case if you want to pay $200/month to have all of them activated.......Meanwhile a Black Berry from Rogers with a $25 data package allows you to do more then anything this phone or any other bell phone can do, with no other hidden costs. Bell has to kick it self in the head and re-think how they lock these phones down. I can't even put a ringtone on the LG Bliss without having to pay Bell to download it when Rogers phones give you data cable to drag and drop them cost free.
I am stuck with bell and this phone for 3 years, make sure you are not a victim of Bell Mobility lies, both instore and over the phone. They will not let me return the phone because I exceeded 30minutes of talk time on the phone. I have been told by bell that i have to pay $400 to buy my self out of my contract now because I have a crappy LG Bliss phone I'm unhappy with.
If I had paid $279 last week for the phone and signed no contract with bell, I could have canceled. But because I signed a 3 year deal and paid only $79 dollars for the LG Bliss, I now have to pay BELL Mobility $400 dollars to get out of a contract where they are the ones that can't provide me proper service. LG Bliss is trash, so is Bell's customer service, Stay away or go get burned by the new Palm Pre.......same Trash as LG Bliss.
Yeah, the phone is a piece of crap by most people's standards, but I wouldn't blame Bell entirely. Having to "pay" for ringtones is never something to complain about. I've known people who've had the same phone as me and I could use MP3s as ringtones and they couldn't because of the phone company's firmware. For most phones though, simply renaming an MP3 file to a .qcp file will make the file recognizable as a file created by the phone's voice recorder and thus available to be used as a ringtone. As for the cable... you can use a cheap MicroSD card to get whatever you need on there and there's enough onboard memory for plenty messages and pictures. But really, proprietary USB ports are a disgrace to the USB name.
When looking for a data heavy plan for a powerful phone, Bell is definately not where you go. Rogers' plans are better suited for that kind of stuff. When I was looking for a new phone I didn't care much about the bells and whistles since I already have an iPod Touch (when I rarely use the Wi-Fi when I'm at home so I'd never need a 3G plan with an iPhone) and just something for SMS and talking so I went with Bell since I already had an account and I get a discount there.
this phone thinks it has a keyboard. In the menu it tells u to either touch or enter a number to take the action. Funny thing is its so obvious this phone was rushed to production and is a stripped down version of another phone. LG let everyone down with this junk, my LG bliss is dead weight.
