Hi, I live in Israel and just finished reading a local article about the launch on Wednesday. All the jackets that will be offered at this point are 2.5G with no touch screen involved., they will have 2GB of storage. Dov Moran, the president of Modu, stated that 3G and touchscreen devices from the company will only be launched next year. And after it took Modu a delay of over a year to launch their first handset, that probably means it'll take them over two year before the touch phones will be out on the market.
Anyway, in my opinion the entire concept is outdated and will not fly in modern markets only in less hyper markets such as latin America (which is where they are planning on launching in the future after Asia).
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
