Sony Ericsson's Android-powered XPERIA X3 sorta confirmed by way of retailer
We don't take the word of just any retailer at face value, but when a big player like eXpansys decides that it's time to list a new phone in its inventory, that usually means something's afoot. The company's British outpost has now listed full details for a phone it's identifying simply as "Xperia" in its headline, but if you read further in, you'll see that the product code is "SEMXP3_BLK_UK", suggesting X3 is the likely moniker for Rachael. For your hard-earned (but yet-to-be-determined) money, you'll get pretty much everything you could possibly want, spec-wise: 10Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA, 8 megapixel cam with image stabilization and LED flash, 3.5mm headphone jack, a 4-inch 800 x 400 display (a first at this resolution for a production Android device), AGPS, and microSDHC expansion. Sadly, it's listed as 900 / 2100 only for the 3G radio, so we'll need to rely on the telecommunication gods (and Sony Ericsson, we suppose) to deliver a North American version as well.

You are the best now Sony Ericsson, announce these phones as soon as possible, to beat Nokia!!!!! Sony Ericsson 4ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Sony can announce phones all they want. Sony's problem has never been announcing phones. When they start releasing some of them then we'll see.
People in these comments need to stop talking about SE phones as Sony phones, it's 50% 50% between Sony and Ericsson. Sony has never been big in the phone making buisness but Ericsson has (larger then Nokia)
The X2 will be available in November, and this in Januarry, or Februarry.
Actually how can reply somebody, plz tell me to know, coz here I can't find the reply...
everything you could possibly want except a keyboard :-(
But then it would be fatty fat. I dont know. Maybe the screen is big enough to live without a hardware keyboard...
Not everything as the x3 doesn't feature :
- quad band 3G (only dual band 900/2100 = annoying when you travel however there's always wifi) but it may be only that uk version as pda.net lists umts 1900 ?
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1967
- a search button: google changed the google experience terms when htc released the magic; as the x3 only has the menu / home / back buttons, it shouldn't be a google experience phone, therefore wouldn't support upgrade through the air, we may have to plug the usb cable to the computer.
- an amoled screen :>
- a keyboard to play games !
And what about this 800x400 screen resolution ? this may be a typo, i hope it is 800x450 so to have a perfect 16/9 screen ratio for videos
Otherwise i find this to be the most desirable android handset yet with its modded UI assembling all the social networks updates under one contact name.
Questions remain : when and how much ?
The phone has already gone MIA from expansys' web site. If you follow the link above to expansys, you get a friendly missing product message, and searching on the site doesn't help either.
