Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X2 demoed on video
You know what frustrates us? Someone with their hands on a totally sweet piece of gadgetry who clearly doesn't know what to do with it. Such is the case in the video below, which seems to depict a gentlemen fondling Sony Ericsson's next XPERIA installment, the X2. While there's not much to see of the device itself, the phone is apparently running a fairly recent version of Windows Mobile 6.5, and the company has clearly taken its skinning team to parts of the OS, as the user in the video manages to stumble past some pretty magnificent looking UI trickery. It doesn't seem as dressed up as the X1's Panel interface does, though this likely isn't the final product. Truck on after the break to see the X2 in action, and try to quell your anger as the phone is repeatedly put to sleep during the demo.

Very annoying video indeed. Couldn't even make it thru the whole thing. Nice phone but hope for a better demo soon cuz that one was pretty bad. Lol.
$20 bucks says this guy found the phone on a sidewalk in a manila envelope marked "TOP SIKRIT" and thought he'd be an E-Hero by posting a video; unfortunately he was lacking in basic common sense department and effed the whole thing up.
ANNOYING is the understatement.
Yea that guy sucks.. But wm6.5 is nice.. cant wait till we get some official 6.5 and touchflo3d2 action
How is it that complete morons always get their hands on triumphant pieces of hardware and have no idea what to do with them, or how to at lease explore properly. Its a disgrace to all who salivate accordingly.
sonofabichbastid.
To be fair, it looks like the phone was set to some kind of crazy power-saving mode that meant the screen shut off every 5 seconds - it might even have been a bug (or deliberate test) in the software build.
It's easy to blame the guy doing the video, but if he couldn't figure out how to work it properly then hey - maybe you won't either? Parts of that UI seemed very flash, but also fairly confusing. It's very easy to make menus and transitions that look great - SE have produced plenty of them - but something else to make it useable.
So many leaks right now, wonder if it's deliberately been done like that. X2 looks good but I reckon people will wait and buy the X3 instead, especially since its supposed to be Android.
