HTC Snap, Touch Pro2 officially land on Telus
Best Buy may have beaten Telus to the punch by offering the HTC Snap on the cheap all by itself earlier this month, and it hasn't been much of a secret that the Touch Pro2 was also headed Telus' way, but if you've had any doubts about the carrier's commitment to either of the handsets, you'll be pleased to know that it's now gotten fully official with the pair of 'em. Better still, Telus has even undercut Best Buy's already low $29.99 price for the HTC Snap by offering it for free on a three-year contract, while the HTC Touch Pro2 will set you back a considerably heftier $249.99 on that same contract. Those with an aversion to commitment and money to burn can also snag the Snap for $400 and the Touch Pro2 for $650, or take advantage of some not-very-attractive one or two-year contract deals.

Any news on Sprint touch pro 2
For people thinking about buying the Telus version of Touch Pro 2 from ebay and use it on USA with AT&T/T-Mobile: Telus is a CDMA operator, so it won't work with GSM.
Yes, but the CDMA Touch Pro2 is a CDMA Worldphone with GSM for out-of-network operation, no?
Quadband GSM w/ CDMA / EVDO/ HSPA...
unlock it and it'll be open to all.
Yes but it doesn't have AT&T or T-Mobile 3G bands, so you might as well buy the European one and not have to worry about getting it unlocked (which will be near impossible probably).
Buying outright with no contract is still way cheaper than the only other option... expansys.ca who still have it at $840 buckaroos.
If only HTC (or someone) sells the unbranded US GSM version...
actually it does have 3g bands. lil tip i found out yesterday. ill release more info later on. this along with a few other phones
Damn, and I thought US contracts were bad. A 3-year contract to get probably the same price they will sell for in the US on a 2-year and in Europe on a 18 Month. I wish I could get a decent price with a 1-year, but alas it isn't meant to be right now. Thank the Lord the US carriers haven't started 3-year plans yet. I hope they never do.
I remember stating somewhere that this phone has the full HSPA band capability for accessing 3(.5)G networks all across the world.
I lied.
Looks like TELUS has already answered that question in the specifications page of the phone.
I'm still looking to get one and play around with it while I'm waiting for an unlocked US version.
However, the TELUS one means that you're trading up your front facing camera and 3G CAD/US bands for a 3.5mm headphone jack, if that's more important to you.
I'm also going to confirm if the band information on the box has anything to say about Canadian/US 3G compatibility.
Does anyone know if we can ever buy an unbranded pro 2 from HTC at all? I hate it when US carriers remove the front camera.
It looks like the Telus version has quad-band GSM
