Palm Pre comes to Bell on August 27
Up until now, Bell's been coy about an exact availability date for the Palm Pre -- a tactic borrowed from Sprint prior to its release -- so we're happy to hear that they've finally decided on August 27 to get it out of the door. It'll run CAD $199.95 (about $187) on a three-year deal, ramping all the way up to $599.95 contract-free with a minimum 500MB / month data plan (trust us, you'll want every megabyte of it). Preorders are now being accepted online and in Bell stores, so if you want it on day one, you might want to get moving on that.

i totally tipped on this and no recognition. pfft.
I recognize ya...
Yar thats happened to me before. Tipped something good that I saw elsewhere, next day it popped up with no mention of anyone submitting it. Altho there have been times that I tipped something that I ended up rereading and going...OOOOOOooooohhhh, I totally misread that. So I dont have any hard feelings. Hopefully they dont think I'm an idiot.
3 year plan......gah!!!!!!
yeah it sucks, would be nice if bell launched this into its subsidiary companies (virgin mobile, solo mobile) probally not going to happen....
Well at least the plan rates are decent even if they are 3 years long. But knowing Bell they'll find some way to cock this up. Still they have my attention.
What are the odds that this will be a CDMA and GSM phone?.... Ya I know, but I can hope.
IT R CAN WORK ON SERO!?!?!
Couldn't you conceivably just buy this phone from Bell, unlock it, and use it on AT&T? Bell uses the same 3G bands as AT&T (850/1900). Seems like all you would need to do is unlock the phone to use it.
ATT is GSM, Bell is CDMA. So no.
You obviously haven't read ANYTHING. Bell is switching to a 3G network operating on the 850/1900 bands.
