T-Mobile myTouch 3G storming retail stores today for $199.99 on contract
You knew good and well this day was coming, but if you're sick and tired of lusting after your proactive neighbor's myTouch 3G, today's your lucky day. The highly customizable HTC handset will be widely available starting this morning in T-Mobile USA retail outlets, partner locations and online, and if you're really looking to celebrate, you can dart over to San Francisco at noon as 100 skydivers take a leap of faith in order to generate buzz, relieve some stress and put food on the table. Speaking of cheddar, you best bring $199.99 if you plan on snagging one on a two-year agreement, and you'll do everyone there a favor if you've already settled on black, merlot or white beforehand.

Sweet! I'm gonna be there at 10am to snag a black one.
I hate to be a Debbie Downer...but when you get to the store, ask them to play with the Touch Pro 2 due out on the 12th...ITS REALLY NICE...and even though its 299.99 that extra 100 bucks gets you a whole lot!
Getting Touch Pro 2..
If I don't like it, I'll get whatever their next gen top shelf Android device they are shilling is that has a hardware keyboard this Fall/Winter.
This should be $99, and probably will in like 2 months. Which sucks because I wouldn't mind getting one, even tho I'd be leaving a better AT&T network to support Android.
The only issue I have is that they require you to buy the data plan. Of course it is nice to have, but for a person who has WiFi everywhere I need, why pay 24.99 on top of any contract unless you really need the data plan when traveling.
and so it begins... t-mo is now joining the revenue retention fan club by requiring a data plan, those nullifying any use whatsoever out of the WiFi...good in a way... nothing to seperate t-mo from the rest, so I might as well jump on board sprint where data is cheapest (on family plan). thank you... 'dumb a$$ed t-mo' and your last place, craptacular 2.5G network.
Damn all i have to say tmobile is expensive. Seriously i heard about tmobile being really cheap and all this talk, but i went online and check their plans for this my touch and is more expensive than a sprint everything plans. 69.99 on sprint will get you more but less minutes but you also have unlimited at 7:00pm, not to say Hugely way better 3g network.
Now tmobile is kind of expensive with hardly no 3g at all I imagine when they implement more their 3g they will turn like att trying to be overpriced. Wasn't tmobile one of the cheapest because they had far less coverage and 3g?? what has it starting to become.
My experience with their 3G network so far has been very positive. I'm in NYC though, so that might skew me towards more covered than other areas.
I went with the cheapest myFaves plan, with data plan, and 300 texts.. $69 .,. now this suits me, because the with the Faves I will have more than enough minutes, and 300 texts is what.. 30 a day ? .. an equivalent iPhone plan gave me 50 more minutes, but no faves and was a few dollars more if I remember correctly.
Funny -- I get a corporate discount on T-Mo phones/plans thru a social club I'm in, and the MyTouch 3G $299 there. The $199 only applies if I don't go thru the discount program (clicking the ad on the main T-Mo page).
Nice discount. ;P
I have the phone and i absolutely love it. Its worth all the money I put into it and the prices are very cheap. I wouldn't trade this phone in for the world. That would be very stupid of me. This ohone has a lot of apps and is just very user friendly. So go ahead and try and trash talk it but the phone is AWESOME!!!
