Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 shows up sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack
We already knew the CDMA HTC Touch Pro2 headed to Telus and Verizon had been upgraded with a 3.5mm headphone jack, so it's not a huge surprise that the Sprint version has one too, but it's still nice to see proof. Still no word on a release date or pricing, but if these things are sneaking out there like this we can't imagine we have long to wait.

Why not post the other new pics as well?
opps nevermind can't wait to have this phone in my hands.
My prayers have been answered!
I have long been a proponent for this type of jack...kudos to HTC!!!
Tmobile will release this mobile on August 12, 2009 WITHOUT the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Tmobile customers will rely on using an added heasphone adapter to deal with.
What year is this(that's almost over)???
Verizon and Sprint probably laughed HTC out the their doors when HTC showed them the model WITHOUT the 3.5mm headphone jack.
What end of the year is this???
How long has iPhone had a 3.5mm headphone jack???
Did iPhone have one on their first iPhone years ago? YES!!!!
Leave it to the old geezers at Tmobile who think people don't use their mobiles for music...
Hello Tmobile, have you seen iPhone and iTunes work together????
Then what type of jack is t-mobile's version? is it 2.5? I wouldn't mind if it is a 2.5 jack.
thanks.
Nice sprint now surprise me this sunday by releasing it just 4 days after tmobile's August 12th release.
I skipped the AT&T Fuze because of the keyboard and because I hated the circle/d-pad thing on my Sprint TP... and now the headphone jack and same keyboard on the AT&T TP2 (aka Tilt2) is another reason I have to upgrade early on Sprint.
My Tilt is eligible for an upgrade but AT&T keeps messing up their HTC phones... I was hoping to alternate upgrades between carriers but I guess my Sprint TP is going on eBay after less than a year. Maybe once they allow tethering on iPhones, I can retire my Tilt.
Whats up with the finish on this phone. The back looks cheap as hell compared to the silver versions on the web. Also looks like stuff can infiltrate those holes.
I emailed HTC to get the scoop on why the tmobile phone has no 3.5mm jack. Just out of curiosity. This is what they sent me.
"We understand the importance of having all the information on our phones. The reason why the T-Mobile version of the Touch Pro 2 does not have a 3.5mm earphone jack was because T-Mobile requested that the 3.5mm earphone jack to be removed. All HTC phones that are purchased through a Wireless carrier, such as T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, Rogers etc., are selected by the wireless carriers; then reprogrammed, re-branded, and sometimes remodeled at their discretion. We cannot guarantee that the Sprint version of the Touch Pro 2 will have a 3.5mm earphone jack since we are still in negotiations with Sprint on the Touch Pro 2."
If they don't add the jack to the sprint version I wont be upgrading.
I agree. T mobile has an awesome backside to thier phone and if you notice a lighter and molded band around it. This sprint one looks very cheap
