BlackBerry 9700's arranged marriage to T-Mobile leaves its mark, seen in the wild
Sure, it's more or less just a BlackBerry Onyx with a trackpad, but slap a T-Mobile logo on it, and the excitement is all rejuvenated. Such a device was spotted in the wild by the folks at Crackberry, sporting a silver chrome and a leather-clad battery cover. Not much to say here, but with that branding, we're hoping it's not long before heading into the consumer channels. Don't worry AT&T friends, we're sure your GSM-equipped 9700 is just around the corner, too.

Freakin' EXCELLENT! Finally.
You know I like BB just fine, way better than Apple. But it seems like their phones are all the same phones with different bodies. There needs to be more features, like a touch screen on top of this normal candybar body. I would probably pick up a BB then. And at least some fancy new OS.
@ Doax. You are totally right..I'm right there with you.
though I'm really excited to see T-Mobile pick up so many great phones this year especially their 1st 3G Blackberry. To change the subject a bit I am a little upset at the fact they changed the body of the TP2 since its original form factor was brilliant.
But for sure I'll be picking up this BB onces my upgrade comes in Oct. I've had my Curve for about 2 years now.
I was so envious when the Bold came out LOL.
but it sounds like T-Mo will have their own version with a Faux-leather back cover after all. yay
I was squealing excitedly when I first saw this, and then I saw in the comments over at Crackberry.com that it won't have UMA because 3G-to-UMA hasn't been perfected yet. Not that GSM-to-UMA has been perfected yet, in my opinion, but I guess it still needs to be worked out. Too bad then--I guess there's still a good reason to keep my Curve 8900 around ;-)
