I'm really glad at least one Nokia phone is being updated often. We'll see how many more months it lasts...

That being said, my RAM is still very low with only the web browser open. 8mb of ram left and only web, widgets, and the default nokia apps that open on startup are present. And I rebooted the phone an hour ago. Crazy.

The phone restarts four times a week under similarly light loads of apps present. The web browser closes itself far too often to be reliable, but ive had that problem with every S60 phone ive owned.

Still a long way to go.

Corpsed

Comments on Nokia N97 gets a minor firmware bump

I have a n97 too (besides an HTC hero and an HTC touchHD) and all you have to do to avoid the problem you complain about is migrating all apps and programs (with a couple of exceptions) from phone memory to the capacious 32 GB of mass memory.

Moreover the N97 has been getting more than 1 update A DAY for the last 3 weeks including to full firmware ROMS( the 11.xx and now the 12.xxx).
I was also disappointed by it when I bought it ,one month ago, but now it has been mutated in the all powerful war machine wich was not when it came out from Finland.
It just requires a bit of downloads , twists and fixes.
When I bought it I was sorry I did'nt choose theSamsung OmniaHD instead but now I'm extremely happy of my choice.
Oh, and the updates keep coming, two of them just today, apparently one for nokia maps and one for RAM optimizing.
My collegues who choosed the OmniaHD never received even one byte of update, just like I never did in the 7 months I had an Omnia 900.

Plexus
