Samsung's WEP870 Bluetooth headset comes with earbuds, bundles of joy
Nothing too exhilarating here, but if you're looking for something new to sit atop the peak on your ear, Samsung's got a new trio it'd love for you to consider. The most interesting of the three is undoubtedly the WEP870, which marries a noise-canceling Bluetooth mono headset (with BT music streaming) to a set of earbuds. As with the less thrilling WEP850 and WEP470, this one also features multi-connection technology in order to pair with up to two BT devices at once. The 870 steps things up with an LCD screen to display battery level, call status and BT connection status, while the other two handle calls and little else. All three are available for purchase right now for $89.99 (WEP870), $69.99 (WEP850) and $39.99 (WEP470).

These look nice, but I'm still looking for something smaller...
Look medical to me, people will give you a seat on the bus.
I'm looking for the implanted chip in my ear canal so I don't need ear buds
Exactly, now that would be awesome, or maybe something the size of a hearing aid.
Why even put it in the ear canal? Just get something implanted in your brain so you don't need to worry about hearing stuff with your eardrum.
I'd say Sony has them beat with their DR-BT30Q. Pads beat out those wretched buds any day.
A little off topic but Jabra had a bluetooth headset that was supposed to launch back in may....
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/04/03/jabra-halo-hands-on/
Any word of when this will launch? I was waiting to pick it up, but never heard about it. Plus when they announced the Halo they also announced a Bluetooth speaker as well which did hit retail by June.
How is the sound quality of BT headsets? I've never heard a2dp from decent phones before.
I hear some implementations of stereo BT headsets have a hiss, but the sound itself is generally not complained about too much, just make sure you get a version without the hiss.
Bluetooth headsets are nice and all, but where are the bluetooth adapters that allow you to plug in you're own 3.5mm headset? I saw one awhile back (like 2006 or so) but the model was out of production and couldnt find anything similar.
There are various version available, Although it's true some are around for quite some time, and they can be hard to find in some shops, but there's always ebay and amazon and such, here's an example search:
Just goto amazon and type 'bluetooth stereo' in the search box, make sure you type both words to get the right results.
The link was refused by engadget, seems they don't like amazon, hence my instructions to do it yourself.
Looks like a stethoscope.
A very young startup, Frengly joins the world of free online translation tools, a market that seems dominated by giants such as the powerful Babel Fish.
This particular endeavor will let you copy and paste the text of your choice and then select the language you wish to translate it into. One of the most remarkable features is that there is no need to specify the source language %u2013 it is automatically detected, and that is a nice touch indeed.
Never looked at samsung as having nice MP3 players, this one being no expeption.
