So what?
Took the words out of my mouth Sonic
i think they are trying to say it lacks creativity
yes, it is so fucking creative to use a white background and your device showing what it does.
not
As I stated over at TUAW, the ad is SUPPOSED to look like an iPhone ad, up until it says "But it doesn't stop there". From that point on it highlights the advantages the Pre has over the iPhone; physical keyboard, multiple apps. It's a subtle way to compare it to the iPhone without having to directly mention their competition.
Touché
i dont think apples commercials are creative. i think apple brainwashes idiots to think they have some kind of jesus phone. 3 year for basic tasks is ridiculous. but no operating system is perfect they all have flaws. apple is the only one that properly promotes their product.
blackberry only in the last year have i started seeing their commercials which look cheap and stupid.
windows mobile.... outside ofeurope/asia has anyone even seen a windows mobile commercial? ive never seen one for android dont even know if it exists. never saw one for palm pre pre. w
they leave the marketing up to the carriers and they are just as useless.
I saw this ONCE on tv, it counts as WM tv commercial:

I'm curious to know, how come Google Maps changes orientation on the Bell Palm Pre, but not the Sprint version when it's turned sideways.
Me too.
Copying Apple's ads does make it look like the Pre advertising people are lacking ideas. It's too bad because there are plenty of great things about the Pre - they should show more confidence in their product.
again, as previously mentioned.........thats the point. its the same as the apple ad, until they start highlighting the differences.
Like the tagline says, "The smartphone just got better", the commercial is saying, "Like an iPhone, but it does a whole lot more"
