HTC beats Microsoft to the punch, rolls out a different kind of 'project pink' to the Hero
In its brief three-model run so far, HTC's already built a storied history of odd color options for its Android phones: brown on the G1, "merlot" on the myTouch 3G, and now, a sublime pink for the Hero that we're finally seeing in the wild. Love it or hate it, Android fans, be real with yourselves: if it was somehow the only Hero you had access to, you'd take it in a heartbeat.

i would take it in pink, yesterday. hopefully sprint brings the brown hero. the black and white reminds me to much of an ipod. i really want the industry to leave the ipod white phase already.
The pink is a little too similar to the pink used for prosthetic limbs IMO... I'll stick with my black one thanks :D
These are the Hero colours we get in the UK if anyone cares:
White - SIM free
Brown - SIM free (exclusive to Carphone Warehouse - Voda or Orange)
Pink - SIM free (exclusive to Carphone Warehouse - Voda or Orange)
Black - T-Mobile Direct (they call it the T-Mobile G2 Touch)
Graphite - Orange Direct
White is my fav, but I didn't have the cash to buy SIM free.
Hopefully Sprint will bring the pink as an option in October. My wife is planning on joining me in my HTC Hero adventures and she currently owns the pink Centro. This seems like a natural evolution for her. I think I'll go with the white (despite the ipod white phase issue noted above) as I'm interested in the teflon coating.
Bring on October already!
