Oh, you youngsters. That isn't a keyboard, retro or otherwise. It's a computer! From before we put them into big separate boxes, which was before we started stuffing them back under keyboards again...
Ah! Fond memorys of the days of the C-64. That was my second computer. My first was a Timex Sinclair. PIA to use the keybord on that! Yep my C-64, cassette tape reader for my software and data. I remember creating music on that by editing text files. Playing "Moon Lander". Discovering that you could print out a close aproximation of various pictures on the dot matrix printer using ASCII charicters to create simulated shades of grey... etc. In some ways they were more fun then computers today because you were FORCED to learn something in order to do what you want. Now days all you have to do is google and you will most likely find a free app that does what you want even better then what you were thinking of. With PC's like that you were forced into the thrill of discovery when you figgured out how to do something be it simple commands or creating a little bit of code that actully did something. I miss my C-64. Off to eBay to see if I can find one in working order.

When did engadget start doing porn?
Well, now that the video is actually working, the question is: How much fail or how much awesome will this show be?
when?
There goes the engadget snacks budget.
Please tell me that Topolsky won't have his mug on it!
Stick to the Jimmy Fallon show - cheaper and can only get better........
only 30 seconds and coming already? weak sauce!
it might as well be porn cuz i have a major chubby
... I was hoping for a new reliable comment system. :)
i have a strange feeling that iphone related news is going to be snuck into every weekly episode...
@FNG, would of been more exciting than this news.
When you're in the forest, what do you do when you come across an elephant? Wipe it off.

I am surprised people passed on the opportunity to respond to the title with..."That's what she said!"
A show about a blog. I can read an entire day's worth of blogging in less than 30 minutes. Will they be able to hold our interest for long enough?
If Topolsky does bring his mug on then he'll be more like Lady Gaga...
...just please don't dress like her
September 1st

HOLY S**** THE ENGADGET SHOW? WHEN?
this is worse, is going to bother me until you guys say it
Engadget has just disqualified itself from all future criticisms of the Palm Pre ads.
i MUST guest star. its my destiny.
Case in point.. fix the comment system first =)
Will they pass out lighters and gasoline so when they have an anti-Apple/Microsoft bit the crowds can start actual flame wars??
@vance
i seriously thought they were making fun of the palm pre ads up to the 00:26 second.
seriously engadget, if you want to make fun of one company's ads, don't copy them.
A show about a keyboard?
A show about retro keyboards; get your facts straight.
A show about Commodore computers -- the C64 to be exact. Get your facts straight buddy.
That's a retro computer, young whipper snapper ... not just a keyboard nor just a retro keyboard.
It's the C-64!!!!
Oh, you youngsters. That isn't a keyboard, retro or otherwise. It's a computer! From before we put them into big separate boxes, which was before we started stuffing them back under keyboards again...
Still preferred the Speccy myself though...
Wow ... we all think alike ...
we are becoming the borg-64.

@Boo Radley
Here I was all excited about a C-64, another Commodore rebirth, or what not.
Then you just made me feel old.
Dude, if you can't tell the difference between a Commodore 64 and a keyboard, you have to hand in your geek card, post haste.
It's C=64.
Or a Commie.
Get your facts straight you hooligans.
Only Crapple fans called it a C-64. Or the losers who bought their computers at Radio Shack.
I still remember some of Intel's 6502 assembly language.
LDA ($77,X)
Ha!
a show about keyboard on head
Rocketboom, anyone?
Maybe instead of Apple vs. Microsoft we can argue Commodore vs. Atari!
Atari still rules by the way.

I'm only 20 and even I knew that was a C-64... Then again, I did have an Amiga.. which is similar.
Wow... I'm... shocked...
Of course, I'm sure that, oh, 90% of the people that downvoted me have no idea what I'm talking about.
And the 10%, you know you were just jealous of a computer that took 5 minutes to load a game. :)
