Qik for iPhone 3GS update removes 'WiFi only' restriction, 3G streaming is a go
Well, that was fast. Just one week after hitting the scene, Qik for iPhone 3GS has been updated to move that nasty "WiFi only" restriction, meaning you can now stream your videos to the internet over a 3G network. We just tried it ourselves and, sure enough, it works like a charm. After you've read through all that FCC literature, hit up the read link and download the (thankfully still free) app -- just be careful how much fun you have with it this weekend. Let's see how AT&T's network handles this one. [Warning: iTunes app link.]

Fuck yeah :)
Still no live streaming, though.
well, its not live...still for free its cool. video quality is awesome from the 3gs. Way better than my touch pro 1.
Point of clarification... The word "stream" is incorrect. Videos are not being streamed live in this app. They are uploaded after being taken. It's now the major drawback on this app. You can still do the same thing by using the stock camera/video app and sending it to a image/video site via a Twitter app. Nor can you send a tweet on Twitter saying to check out the video.
The jailbroken version is still better than the App Store version just for this.
