Cricket, MetroPCS launch Samsung Messager II
Seemingly unconvinced that enough people had said "hey, you spelled 'messenger' wrong" after the first model, archrival regionals Cricket and MetroPCS have both launched Samsung's Messager II with a 2 megapixel camera, EV-DO, and a pair of keypads: one slide-out QWERTY, one numeric permanently affixed up front. Admittedly, the name is no stranger than the "Vice" brand adopted by the phone's twin sister up in Canada, but isn't it kind of ironic that a phone with a full QWERTY keyboard be given a name that nearly everyone thinks is a typo? Find this sucker now on MetroPCS for $149 and Cricket for a hair under $200.

I suppose that they think by not correcting the spelling in the successor that we'll think it was intentional all along.
We don't. We just think they can't spell AND are stubborn.
Its the french word for messenger.hehehe
Seriously, Samsung--either spell it correctly or make it different enough so it's not so close to the actual spelling that it's annoying. I was laughing at the first glance because I thought it was the "Samsung Massager." New feature for phones? :-p
Well normally I wouldn't comment but Messager is not a misspelling but rather the "French" word for Messenger. I gather that Samsung was looking for that stylish European image in their product line. ;-)
Presumably, they meant "message"-er, like one who sends messages? Not long ago, who thought "texting" was a real word??
Honestly, who cares about the spelling? Do you people spend all of your time going around the web looking for something to criticize? It's a cellphone review. Get over the way they spelled it, whether you like it or not. If you think it's so annoying then stop looking at the spelling. Immature, seriously.
