Nokia comes to the table with 30.019 firmware for N85
Ovi Contacts features are making the rounds on newish Nokia firmwares as of late, and the N85's latest is no exception. Version 30.019 is starting to circulate around the world, bringing with it realtime contact location and status updates -- the big news here, obviously -- along with vaguely-stated "improvements in USB charging." If only it'd pull another 3 megapixels out of thin air, we could forgo the outlay for the N86 then, eh?

It was out for a few days but appears to have been pulled and replaced with the previous 20.175. I had installed it before it was pulled. I don't see any immprovements whatsover, and it actually seems to have more bugs than the previous version. I hope there'll be another update soon.
The new firmware is a nightmare. That's why they pulled it. It's completely hosed my phone. I am having so many problems it's not funny. One can rarely use this term in serious context, but, for me, this firmware if FUBAR.
I've got this on my N85 handset, the battery-life is appalling without even using it (just on standby) - I'm not even getting 24 hours. Its a genuine Nokia battery, is there some issue associated with this firmware or could my handset be faulty? The problem is I bought it from a third-party.
crap you guys are scaring me. I just saw that there was an update and it's in progress now! grrr I should've done my homework...
What was your battery life before, James? Mine lasts 2-2.5 days and I text quite a bit, as well as surf the internet.
