Spotify launches on iTunes App Store and Android Market, premium members only
As expected, Apple has blessed Spotify's streaming subscription music application with a home in its iTunes App Store. Additionally, the app is also making a first, less ballyhooed appearance on the Android Market. The free app allows you to stream any of its nearly 4 million tracks over WiFi or 3G and syncs playlists for playback while disconnected. It's available exclusively to Spotify Premium members in the UK, Sweden, Spain, France and Norway -- only the iPhone app is available in Finland. Great, so does that mean Rhapsody is next? Magic i-ball says all signs point to yes. Video overview of each app after the break.
P.S. We're seeing reports that the iPhone app won't play music in the background. The fix? Android.

I'm running this on my iPhone as a premium user and it's brilliant. Great job done there and also, thanks Apple for approving it! I would rather pay a monthly subscription than fill my hard drive with music.
Obviously your music doesnt mean much to you.
I Filled several roomy hard drives with my music and its also backed up in several formats.
A good portion of it is also safely stored in CDs , in vinyles, and sometimes in both.
I would'nt have it any other way.
Spotify for Android can be downloaded from spotify website for finnish users. Just goto http://www.spotify.com/en/mobile/overview/install-for-android/ and there is link to download SpotifyAndroid.apk.
Wow. If this ever comes to the U.S. I can finally ditch WinMo (probably for Android). I'm really only sticking with WM because it has protected WMA support and I'm a loyal Rhapsody subscriber.
