You can now remotely passcode lock your iPhone via MobileMe! And the "save as new" feature when trimming videos. More info here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/
Wait, so I can download a ringtone for $1.29 or I can download the entire song in iTunes for $.99 and make my own ringtone out of it for free. Why would anyone pay more for part of a song to achieve the same thing you can from the song file you probably already own?
Yeah, I'm a bit confused by that too. Before this update I could BUY ringtones for $0.99, why would I want to buy one for $1.39 now?
No you weren't. You first had to buy the song from iTunes. After that, THEN you could turn that song into a ringtone for 99 cents. So $0.99 for the song, and $0.99 for the ringtone was $2. This is $1.29 for the entire thing without first having to buy the song first ... all inclusive.
What the heck does this mean:

Better iPhone 3G Wi-Fi performance when Bluetooth is turned on
end quote.
Unfortunately, I don't think the proper question is 'Why would they,' but 'Will they.'
Are you betting that Apple is wrong? Financially?
I really need ringtones for my iTouch, and didn't turn on the genius feature.
How do you create ringtones with the songs you have in iTunes?

"# Redeem iTunes Gift Cards, codes, and certificates in the App Store"
I could've sworn that was in the early versions of 3.0 and then disappeared.
This is probably why Sprint waited to release WebOS 1.2.... Had to figure out how to break into iTunes again....
Or you can download Ringtonesia from Redkawa.com and convert any file into a ringtone that adds right into iTunes for free. Duh. Guess which one I did? Works like a charm.
