Not because I want a Moto phone (Rosie >>> Blur) but because I really hope competition takes hold & HTC rethinks & upgrades the Tattoo's TouchScreen & Camera specs, at least for the US release...

Most of us can live with a phone without a keyboard(millions do...)... But that phone better be capacitive & at the very list be the size & quality of the G1's screen... HTC has a great virtual keyboard... But if I wanted to use a stylist or let my nails grow to be able to type on it... I would just get a fraking HTC Touch 2 with WiMo 6.crap... It comes with Sense UI Light + the most resistive OS out there...

I'll probably end up having to get a single HTC Hero on Sprint (Although I prefer the Euro version of it)... Instead of getting 3-4(for everybody in my FamPlan) HTC Tattoo's on what ever network releases it first... So here is hopping HTC stop's making one of the lames excuse why they snips, snips the Tattoo's great potential....

Y314K

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

Where is the info. on the Instinct Q launching in NOV on sprint?

david

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

The Tattoo does HSDPA, just not HSUPA.

sockatume

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

I agree with the desire for something spectacular and would be willing to pay more for it. I am leaning towards the Hero for the Sense UI which makes normal Android feel blah, which is funny since I have not even held an Android device yet. Had the Sense UI not been available I would not have such an opinion. Normal Android UI would still feel new and interesting to me.

At this point I want an Android phone that has the best camera available (8MP or higher), a slide-out keyboard and good touch screen and virtual keyboard, the fastest processor available, the most ram possible and a 32 GB mini SD card. I don't want it to be light and feel cheap. I want it to have some heft to it. I want it to fit nicely in my pocket (no chin). It definitely has to have wifi, bluetooth and A2DP. I would like it to have a lower res webcam on the front side so apps could be written to do video chat where I can see the screen (other person's video) while it sends out video of me. Biggest battery possible. Basically a phone that will be robust enough to handle future Android updates for a couple of years.

For now, the Hero is the closest match to these requirements. I am also very happy with Sprint so the Hero again is the best choice so far.

James

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

What does Exchange: Depends on version mean?

Sizzler

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

maybe the first release didn't include exchange support.. but cupcake (donut?) enabled support

??

sandawgscorch

Comments on Android Battle: CLIQ edition

Google themed phones do not support exchange (thanks to some bizarre thing with MS) but non-google themed Android phones do. It intergrated all my contacts from emails myspace facebook last.fm and more. I was shocked, I have over a few hundred email contacts about 500 myspace contacts and over 800 phone numbers in tmobile
never before have i seen them in one place not even on my computer. Then as a bonus I can connect all the multiple contacts for each. For instance you may have a facebook friend and their number or separate email or myspace you can put all those contacts together instantly and keep them in order with options text, call, IM , post, email or send pic, update, comment etc... The ease is incredible. I prefer keyboard and touch because you can see the entire screen and type at the same time I like that option. Gphone was good but this is a step up without all the tech glitches. Many apps from google plus internet all the time good battery life. I am on my phone all the time now I can update , text send email blasts and keep talking all at once. Even the speaker phone is good noone ever knows that I am talking on it.The earphone set is also great my friends can not tell the difference on that either. The pictures and video look like HD I am a photographer and I can tell the difference in quality.Colors are crisp and natural the only setback is no flash but outside of that this is a great choice.Another feature that is good is app set up right on screen mix and match what is important to you. I keep weather on screen because I live in one state and work in another.Sorry gamers I cannot speak on that ,my phone is for business so on that topic I have no comment.

EverlastingPhotos
