Save $100 on a T-Mobile myTouch 3G, thanks to Oprah

What could possibly cause T-Mobile to knock a full $100 off a successful smartphone less than two months after it started shipping? A lapse in judgment? A freewheelin' new CEO? A brand new Android phone set for release? No, it's something far more momentous: a new season of Oprah. While it's not quite a new car, folks tuning into the show today will apparently be treated to one of the biggest celebrity android sightings to date, and be given the opportunity to snag a myTouch 3G of their own for just $99 (on a two-year contract with data, of course). Can't wait another minute? Then it looks like you're in luck, as the discount code is already up on T-Mobile's website, and is valid until September 24th.

Quick edit note - no new CEO at TMO, got a new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Dotson still runs the show :)
What happens to those that bought a My Touch with in the last 30 days? Will they give them $100 credit?
Why dont you return it, if its been less than 30 days and then go online and buy it $100 less. Because if Im correct I think that's the only place to buy it with the discount.
Yesterday we went to the T-Mobile corporate store where we bought the MyTouch two weeks ago. We simply asked for a $100 credit on our future billing statement. The sales rep said to get the phone for $100 we would have to return the entire phone with box and packaging, and then repurchase the phone from the website. For $100 I'll be happy to do that, but in the end T-Mobile is just gonna end up with a refurbished phone they have to discount. Wouldnt it be easier all around for just a $100 credit?
