T-Mobile USA's really kicking things into high gear, coming from behind (
way behind, actually) on its 3G launch to become the first to bring 21Mbps HSPA+ here -- and possibly the only one to do it, considering that its closest GSM rival is
leapfrogging from 7.2Mbps HSPA to LTE. Speaking at 4G World in Chicago, T-Mobile's Neville Ray has gone on record saying that its 3G footprint will be blanketed by HSPA+ next year and is actually already up and running in parts of Philadelphia; amusingly, he was apparently a little weirded out by AT&T's earlier comments at the show that it'd have 90 percent of its 3G coverage upgraded to 7.2Mbps by the end of 2011, suggesting that was slow (we'd agree, but then again, considering how far behind T-Mobile still lags in raw 3G coverage, we're not sure they've got room to talk just yet). If we had to guess, this huge push for mega-fast data has to do with
investor discontent on the Deutsche Telekom side of things, so you can bet there are some crossed fingers out in Bellevue as this stuff lights up; now, just give us the
world-class phone selection to match and we'll be good to go.

T-Mobile still isn't 3G in jacksonville FL yet. I really doubt they will be a leader in ANYTHING. I am dropping them and going to sprint for the Pre.
T-mobile 3G has been up and running in Jacksonville for a long time. What are you talking about lol

If only the 3G bands were compatible, I'd drop AT&T like the shit that they are.
I wish folks at T-Mobile would focus on adding more 3G enabled phone choices to their very short menu of current offerings before rolling out LTE.
Why doesn't TMo have any blackberry 3G model?
Where are the fine choices for a subisdized Nokia smartphone?
Why in the heck does the HTC DASH 3G subsidized cost $170 when the same model on verizon or spint is half this?
Why are their only 2 choices in WinMo smartphones when there are more android models? I mean Android isn't even close with the APP choices that WINMO , Blackberry or Pal offer?
I mean c'mon...T_mobile
Give us more choice for handsets!

Truly Terrific, I love this News so much. And even after this HSPA+ its not going to take much besides software to change over to 4G LTE also. They know exactly what they're doing even when others doubted them.
When T-Mobile announced their 3G improvements they mentioned that it was because, unlike AT&T, they were installing all NEW equipment. AT&T was only UPGRADING their hardware. I believe this is why T-Mobile is making it possible to go from 3.6Mbps to 21+Mbps in what... a few years? Whoo hoo! I love Magenta!
Wow that's great, so Now t-mobile also provides Up to 7.2 Mb/s, down link Up to 2.0 Mb/s, up link. its really sound good.so that's final i will purchase 3G blackberry 9700.

T-Mobile;welcome to the real world!! They just suck;yes,at&t has 3G that they upgraded,but they took over AT&T Wireless' network while having 3G under CINGULAR!! Hello!! And coverage for at&t beats t-mo hands down. SO TAKE THAT!
